The Australian team will travel to India in September for three T20 Internationals and then play the West Indies, England and India in the World Cup before returning home, starting on October 22 against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Legspinner Mitchell Swepson was overlooked after visiting the United Arab Emirates last year when Australia won their maiden T20 World Cup.

“This is the same team that has become the first Australian men’s team to win the T20 World Cup, now very much looking forward to playing the tournament at home,” chairman of selectors George Bailey said on Thursday.
