Breaking news: Dr. Virendra Kumar and Union Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh took oath against drug abuse.

Recognizing the importance of educating youth about the dangers of drug abuse and the urgency of doing so, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr. Ambedkar Intercultural Centre (DAIC), organized an interaction with NCC Cadets.

Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Defence, and Dr. Virendra K., Union Ministers for Social Justice & Empowerment presided over the interaction event. The event was streamed live by many State Directorates of NCC across the country. Shri Ramdas Hathaway, the minister of state for Social justice and empowerment, and Smt. Anjali and Smt.

Raksha Mantri Shrirajnath Singh appealed to the Nation, particularly the youth, and called on them to unite to fight drug addiction. He described the menace as one of the major stumbling blocks that India faces in reaching its full potential. Today, he was interacting with National Cadet Corps (NCC cadets) and youth at a function titled “An Interaction With NCC Cadets and Pledge Against Drug Abuse”, which was organized by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment of New Delhi.

Shri Rajnath Singh stated that India is on the path to becoming a superpower. However, we are not able to reach our full potential due to some limitations. One of these limitations is drug addiction. Our country is not yet able to compete with developed countries despite all its strengths. This is because there are many, especially youth, who are addicted to drugs. The young of our nation hold the key to its future. They are the foundation of the country. Their future is easily predicted if their present is shaky. We must fight drugs as we did for Independence.

Shri Rajnath Singh encouraged the NCC cadets to form a group with 3-4 cadets and to try to reach out to the youth who are addicted to drugs. He also informed them about the dangers of using drugs. He advised them to learn about the dangers of drug abuse and how to access de-addiction centers set up by the Government in various locations. The cadets can then help others who want to get out of the grip of drugs. In a way, “our NCC Cadets are another avatar of our Armed Forces.” He asserted that NCC cadets should be involved in defending the country from foreign attackers if our soldiers are. could protect the country against internal enemies like drugs.

He stated that the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, with the active participation of NCC Cadets, is expected to take this Abhiyaan higher and reach its goal of Nasha Mukt Bharat.

Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, called on the NCC cadets at the occasion to lead the drug de-addiction campaign and stated that it was their responsibility to assist the government and society in tackling this serious issue.

He stated, “I hope that we can make India drug-free with your cooperation.” He said that this revolution must not be stopped. It should gain more energy and should light the fire which will combat the vices associated with drug abuse.” Let’s make way for the victims.”
