As Deputy President, Riggy G. Gachagua says he has a lot of work to do.

Riggy G, as he’s known as has now said he will not engage in wrangles with his boss like what happened with the president who is now out of office Uhuru Kenyatta, who broke off with his deputy just a year into their final year in office.

Gachagua said, “No, no, not at all. Don’t expect arguments between me and my supervisor since he already allocated my task.

Gachagua stated that Kenyatta and Ruto were different due to “the former president suffered from inferiority syndrome.”

“It is my duty to see that the duties he gives me are carried out with military exactitude. My job is to ensure that the nation is moving in the correct direction. My job is to be on the ground and guide him as needed,” he told reporters before heading to Kasarani to swear an oath.

Ruto as well as Gachagua will be officially sworn in on Tuesday at Kasarani Stadium after winning the September 9 elections that were also confirmed through the Supreme Court following a petition submitted by former Opposition chief Raila Odinga.

Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto have had a rocky relationship since the year 2018 when the president was seen shaking hands with his long-time Opposition chief Raila Odinga whom he supported during the recent elections for his successor.

Odinga however, was defeated by Ruto and insists that the vote was stolen, despite the declaration of the seven-judge panel that ruled on his request.

In his remarks prior to the official opening of the Kasarani stadium, Gachagua expressed gratitude to Kenyans for providing them with the chance to make Kenya a better place.

He compared the atmosphere that greeted their official day to the atmosphere that prevailed at the time Kenya was declared independent from the colonial government in 1963.

Former Mathira MP has nevertheless called on Kenyans to wait patiently for the new government rolling out its Bottom-Up Model of Economic Development.

The new second lady Dorcas Gachagua has stated that she is optimistic about the fact that this administration is going to follow through on its promise to reduce the prices of living for Kenyans.
