Boycott Adipurush: Another Bollywood film has encountered trouble following “Laal Singh Chaddha” and “Brahmastra,” with “Boycott Adipurush” circulating on social media days after its trailer was unveiled.
Since it was revealed, interest in Om Raut’s “Adipurush,” which stars Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas, and Kriti Sanon, has been pretty strong. However, only a few hours after the trailer was released, online users started criticizing the movie for Saif’s “Islamic” appearance, weak VFX, and the other cast members’ clothing.
Boycott Adipurush” is trending on social media
Lord Hanuman from Ramanand Sagar’s serials “Ramayan” and “Adipurush” are also being compared. Hanuman, played by actor Devdatta Gajanan Nage, appears in the film.
Internet users stated that Hanuman’s appearance in the movie is comparable to Islamic garb. “Bollywood’s Hanuman Looks Like A Musalman #Boycott Adipurush,” a user tweeted. Another person commented, “After 35 years, sleazy Bollywood transformed the ‘gracefulness’ of conceited Ravana and Hanuman ji into Mughals.
In Ramadan, Hanuman. No Hindu maintains a beard without a moustache, according to Musalman in Adipurush. This movie has to be outlawed. They disparage our Ramadan. One more stated, “They are depicting Ravana and Hanuman as Mughals with beards but no Tika on their foreheads.
Narottam Mishra, the home minister for Madhya Pradesh, allegedly voiced his distress earlier on Tuesday on how the gods are portrayed in Adipurush.
Mishra claimed that although Hanuman’s appearance is vividly described in the Hanuman Chalisa, he was shown wearing leather clothing.
The teaser contains scenes that are offensive. Such images offend religious sensibilities. I’m writing to Om Raut, the film’s creator, to ask him to delete these portions. There would be legal action if he disagreed.
The Ramayana is retold in the book “Adipurush.” Raghav, another name for Lord Ram, is the name given to Prabhas’s character in the film. Kriti Sanon portrays Janaki, while Saif plays Ravana.
The visual effects for Adipurush cost a lot to produce. According to reports, the movie had a budget of over Rs 400 crore, most of which was used for VFX, but it appears that the final product falls well short of what the fans had hoped for.
