Chandramukhi 2, with Kangana Ranaut as the title character, is the sequel to the 2005 classic horror comedy smash Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika.
Interestingly, the same role was played by Jyothik in the prequel.
Manichitrathazhu, starring Mohanlal and Shobana, was a Malayalam film released in 1993 that was remade in Tamil as Chandramukhi.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, is a Hindi remake of the same film that was released in 2007.
According to IANS, Kangana Ranaut would be featured in the role of a famous dancer in the king’s court in the upcoming film Chandramukhi 2.
Raghava Lawrence, a Tamil actor, director, and choreographer who most recently directed the Akshay Kumar-starring Laxmii will play the male lead opposite Kangana.
Expressing excitement, Kangana Ranaut wrote in her Instagram story, “Such a privilege to be doing another Tamil film with legendary P Vasu ji”.
Kangana’s cinematic appearance was previewed in a drawing provided by costume designer Neeta Lulla.
She elaborated to the agency that she wanted to express the “spirit of dancing” with her character’s “looks, hair, attitude, and stride.” As far as I’m concerned, it already constitutes Chandramukhi. The film promises to be a visually stunning and intellectually stimulating experience. I’m thrilled to be reuniting with Kangana Ranaut for this job; she’s a fantastic performer in large part because she can really inhabit the role she’s portraying. After wrapping off her current project, Kangana has committed to starting filming on this one the first week of December. The actress will begin filming Chandramukhi 2 in January 2023 after completing her directorial debut, Emergency, later in the month.
The film Tejas, in which the actress plays a pilot for the Indian Air Force, is next on the actress’s schedule. She is playing Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India, in the upcoming drama Emergency.
